Sportingly Better picks out the best Premiership predictions this weekend, as Everton host Swansea.

Premier League Betting Tips

Everton (1.66) v Swansea (6.00); Draw (3.90)

An injury-time winner from Seamus Coleman gave Everton their 10th win at Goodison Park this season, as the Toffees climbed above Manchester United into the top six.

Roberto Martinez could welcome back captain Phil Jagielka to the backline, whilst midfield general Gareth Barry could feature despite picking up a shin injury last time out.

Everton have won 17 of their last 23 games at home in the Premier League; losing just once, but the Merseyside club have been slow before the interval; failing to score in 18 of their 28 games in the league this season. Backing the draw at half time and Everton to be winning at full time at odds of 4.33 could prove profitable.

Opponents Swansea moved closer to the relegation zone, following a 2-1 defeat at home to West Brom last weekend.

Garry Monk’s side have not won any of their last eight games away from home, but the return of midfield trio Jonjo Shelvey, Nathan Dyer and Michu could give the Swans greater incisiveness going forward, amidst increasingly lacklustre displays.

Swansea have won just two of their last 15 games in the Premiership, whilst their record against sides in the top-half of the league this season is also a cause for concern.

Swansea have failed to win any of their last 19 encounters against Everton in all competitions and Roberto Martinez’s buoyant side could seal a sixth straight victory at home this weekend.

Chelsea (1.85) v Arsenal (4.75); Draw (3.60)

Chelsea lost for the first time in 15 Premier League matches last weekend, as Fabian Delph’s late winner secured Aston Villa all three points in the Midlands.

The Blues will be without Ramires and Willian for Saturday’s early kick-off at Stamford Bridge, whilst former Gunner Ashley Cole has been ruled out with a knee ligament injury.

Chelsea boast the division’s best defensive record with just 23 goals conceded, with clean sheets being kept in each of the last four matches at home in the Premier League.

Opponents Arsenal won only their second game in five matches, as an angled drive from Tomas Rosicky gave the Gunners all three points in the north London derby.

Saturday’s game with Chelsea will be Arsene Wenger’s 1000th game in charge of the Gunners, but the French manager will again be without long-term absentees Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, Abou Diaby, Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere.

Arsenal have scored in all bar four of their games in the Premier League this season, but this weekend’s game at Stamford Bridge has a distinct look of being somewhat of a cagey affair, with under 2.5 goals at odds of 1.75 a distinct possibility.

Jose Mourinho has never lost to Arsenal in any of his 10 encounters with the Gunners and after qualifying for the Champions League quarter finals, the Blues will be in buoyant mood and should extend their lead at the top of the table on Saturday.
