Football Accumulator Tips – 22-23 February

Last weekend’s accumulator bet turned into a winning double of 2.65, as Sheffield Wednesday’s FA Cup match with Charlton was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

Selections from the Championship and Football League make up the bets for this weekend’s football accumulator tips on Sportingly Better, returning odds of 7.57.

Accumulator Tips

Derby (1.85) v Bournemouth (4.60); Draw (3.70)

Derby County will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to seven games in the Championship, after Patrick Bamford’s sensational goal gave the Rams a 1-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday.

Steve McClaren’s side moved to within two points of second placed Burnley and a win on Saturday could move the East Midlands club into an automatic promotion position.

Craig Bryson and Jamie Ward are both doubts but on-loan midfielder George Thorne provides McClaren with an added option in the middle of the park.

Opponents Bournemouth held Burnley to a 1-1 draw last time out, with Eddie Howe’s side having now avoided defeat in seven of their last nine matches in the Championship.

Just two wins in that run highlights the Cherries failure to close out matches, with the south coast club having lost in the reverse fixture back in November.

Derby have won seven of their last eight matches at home in the Championship and Steve McClaren’s high-flying side should secure another three points this weekend.

Charlton (4.00) v QPR (2.10); Draw (3.40)

QPR suffered their second successive defeat in the Championship, as Reading swept aside Harry Redknapp’s promotion hopefuls 3-1 at Loftus Road.

The Hoops have added midfielder Ravel Morrison to their squad this week and his arrival could add impetus to the west London club’s flagging form in the division.

QPR still have to deal without top scorer Charlie Austin, but Kevin Doyle has managed to score in two of his last three outings for Harry Redknapp’s side.

Hosts Charlton slipped to their fourth successive defeat in the league, as two goals from Federico Macheda gave Birmingham victory at the Valley.

The Addicks remain four points adrift of safety after defeats in every one of their last four games in the Championship, but owner Roland Duchatelet’s decision not to involve himself in the day-to-day running of the club, may give Chris Powell and his coaching staff fresh impetus to stave of the threat of relegation.

QPR’s record against clubs in the bottom half of the table reads played 15, won 12, drawn two and lost one and the visiting side will need to pick up all three points on Saturday if they are to keep the pressure on the likes of Burnley and Derby in the automatic promotion places.

Leyton Orient (1.95) v Swindon (4.00); Draw (3.75)

Leyton Orient will be looking to keep pace with league leaders Brentford on Saturday, with Swindon the visitors to Brisbane Road.

Russell Slade’s side appear to have turned a corner after suffering three successive defeats in the league earlier this month, but the O’s have played two games more than nearest rivals Wolves, which will be concerning for the London based outfit.

Visitors Swindon go into this weekend’s match short on numbers, but Mark Cooper has at least managed to steady the ship with just one defeat in the last five outings.

Leyton Orient are undefeated in their last seven matches against Swindon in all competitions and the Robins growing injury crisis should see the hosts pick up back-to-back victories.
