Premiership Betting Tips – 9-10 November
A dominant display from Manchester City saw us make a good return from our Premiership Predictions last weekend, with our football tips on the Citizens to clear the 1.5 handicap and Sergio Aguero to score both landing.
Premiership Betting Tips
Chelsea (1.28) v West Brom (12.00); Draw (6.00)
Title-chasing Chelsea host West Brom on Saturday, with the Blues desperate to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat at St James Park.
Jose Mourinho admitted to making “11 mistakes” in his team selection last weekend and anything less than three points this time around could prove costly to the Blues’ title challenge.
Chelsea have won just one of their opening five games on the road in the Premier League this term, but the Blues have won all five of their matches at home; a dominance that the club enjoyed during Jose Mourinho’s first spell in charge.
Chelsea have scored two or more goals in each of their last 10 games in the Premiership and although striker Fernando Torres remains injured, Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o should come in after scoring twice against Schalke on Wednesday.
Opponents West Brom picked up a vital three points against managerless Crystal Palace last time out, with the Midland’s side climbing up to 11th place in the league.
The Baggies will again be without first team regulars Ben Foster and Zoltan Gera, whilst the likely absentees of attackers Scott Sinclair, Nicolas Anelka and Victor Anichebe make backing Chelsea to win to nil at 2.05 look particularly appealing.
West Brom were hit for four goals in their last away match in the Premier League and after Chelsea’s defeat against Newcastle last weekend, expect Jose Mourinho’s side to return back to winning ways on Saturday.
Chelsea Half Time/Full Time @1.80
Chelsea -1.5 Asian Handicap @1.95
Southampton (1.61) v Hull (7.00); Draw (3.80)
England call-up Jay Rodriguez earned Southampton a deserved point at the Britannia Stadium last time out, after Asmir Begovic’s bizarre goal opened the scoring.
Southampton have lost just once in the Premier League all season, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side starting the season unbeaten at home.
The Saints have recorded three consecutive 2-0 wins at St Mary’s Stadium, with the additions of Dejan Lovren and Victor Wanyama over the summer proving an effective upgrade on the club’s defensive unit.
Southampton boast the divisions best defensive record after conceding just four goals in the club’s opening 10 matches and another shut-out against Hull on Saturday at 1.83 seems well priced in the football betting markets.
There have been less than three goals scored in Southampton’s last 13 games in the Premier League. Back under 2.5 goals at 1.73.
Opponents Hull maintained their unbeaten record at the KC Stadium last weekend, as a Carlos Cuellar own goal helped the Tigers pick up their fourth victory of the season.
Steve Bruce’s side have conceded just one goal at home in the Premier League all season, but away from the north east and the Tigers have struggled, shipping nine goals and winning just once.
James Chester, Sone Aluko and Allan McGregor all remain sidelined for the Tigers so Steve Bruce may name an unchanged line up from the side who beat Sunderland last time out.
Hull have failed to score in three of their last five games away from home in the Premier League and Southampton’s impressive start to the season looks likely to continue on Saturday.
Southampton to win @1.61
