Barcelona (1.33) v AC Milan (9.00); Draw (6.00)
Goals from Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari gave the Rossoneri a priceless lead from the first leg three weeks ago and it is the Italian side who are favourites to progress into the quarter finals.
Since then AC Milan have gone on to draw the Derby della Madonnina with Inter Milan, before dispatching Lazio and Genoa in the league.
AC Milan have scored in their last nine games in all competitions, but Mario Balotelli’s ineligibility and Gianpaolo Pazzini’s injury pose selection issues for manager Massimiliano Allegri.
Robinho is back in the Rossoneri squad, but it is Kevin-Prince Boateng who is expected to get the nod, alongside M’Baye Niang and Stephan El Shaaraway in attack. Allegri will again look to defend in numbers and play on the break and AC Milan’s current form and goalscoring record suggests a crucial away goal could be found with the hosts needing to attack from the first whistle.
Barcelona have scored 85 goals in just 27 league matches this season, but Tito Vilanova’s side will need Lionel Messi firing again, after the Argentinean forward failed to register a shot on target in the first leg.
Xavi remains doubtful in what is Barcelona’s only injury concern and the La Liga leaders patience and discipline will likely be tested by a stubborn and resilient AC Milan side.
AC Milan have not kept a clean sheet in their last eight away games in the Champions League, but the Italian side could deal a clinical blow to the Spanish giants with a crucial away goal on Tuesday night.
Both Teams to Score @1.90
