Euro 2012 Betting Predictions – 12 June
Russia were arguably the most impressive nation during the first round of matches and promptly dispatched the Czech Republic 4-1 in their opening group game.
Andrey Arshavin was instrumental in midfield during that game and Dick Advocaat is likely to field the same starting eleven, despite Alexander Kerzhakov being wasteful in attack. Roman Pavyluchenko is pressing for a starting place after impressive when he came on as substitute.
Poland will be without Wojciech Szczesny after his red card against Greece, whilst Smuda is expected to rotate his midfield with Grosicki and Mierzejewski set to replace Obraniak and Rybus. The weight of expectation appeared to be heavy for the co-hosts, but one defeat in 13 games highlights the resilience of the side. Robert Lewandowski remains Poland’s main threat.
Russia are unbeaten in 14 matches and Dick Advocaat’s unbeaten run should continue against the co-hosts on Tuesday.
Russia 0,-0.5 Asian Handicap @2.175
