Premier League Fantasy Football Tips – Gameweek 16

Gameweek 16 Fantasy Player Picks

GW16 (from): Cech, de Gea, Walker, R Taylor, Jones, Samba, Baines, Dempsey, Cahill, Bale, Mata, Silva, Rooney, Ba, Adebayor

Choices

Juan Mata (CHE)

The Spanish international appears to be finding his feet in England after the move from Valencia in the summer and secured his first bonus points of the season in Gameweek 13. Mata has now picked up 3 assists in his last 3 games for the Blues and the visit to the DW Stadium, where Wigan have conceded over 2 goals a game should provide Mata with ample opportunity to add to his recent fantasy points tally.

Other Contenders: Daniel Sturridge, Didier Drogba

Wayne Rooney (MUN)

Wayne Rooney halted his recent barren run with 2 goals against Wolves in Gameweek 15. Along with 2 bonus points, Rooney picked up 12 points last time out and manager Sir Alex Ferguson now expects the England striker to kick on and come up with the goals during United’s favourable run in December.

Other Contenders: Nani, Phil Jones

Emmanuel Adebayor (TOT)

After finding the net against Stoke in Gameweek 15, Emmanuel Adebayor is on a run of 5 goals in 4 games currently for Spurs. The Togo striker is only behind Yakubu and Robin Van Persie in the Premier League form charts and the visit of Sunderland may provide Adebayor further chance to extend his recent goalscoring form.

Other Contenders: Gareth Bale, Rafael Van der Vaart

Transfer Picks

Gareth Bale (TOT) – 8.9m

Since Gameweek 10, Gareth Bale has scored 4 goals, picked up 5 assists and collected 9 bonus points. Bale has yet to miss a minute of football for Harry Redknapp this season and the much coveted Welsh midfielder has hit double figures in each of his last 3 games at White Hart Lane.

Demba Ba (NEW) – 7.2m

Demba Ba’s brace against Norwich in Gameweek 15 took the Senegalese striker’s tally to 11 goals this season in the Premier League. Ba has played the full 90 minutes for the last 5 gameweeks and will fancy extending his tally even further on Saturday as opponents Swansea have shipped 18 goals in 7 away games this season.

Daniel Sturridge (CHE) – 6.9m

Chelsea’s joint top goalscorer this season with 7 goals, Daniel Sturridge has hit 3 of those goals in the last 4 gameweeks. Sturridge picked up 2 assists last time out against Manchester City and looks set to feature again for the Blues in the late kick off on Saturday against Wigan.
