Premier League Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 28

Birmingham and Arsenal do not play in Gameweek 28 as they meet in the Carling Cup Final on Sunday. Tottenham do not play and Manchester United play twice this gameweek.

Captain Choices

Wayne Rooney
After a wonder goal against city rivals Manchester City, there seems to be more confidence and belief in England striker Wayne Rooney. Rooney has scored 3 goals, made 2 assists and collected 5 bonus points in his last 3 games. Manchester United are away at Wigan and Chelsea in Gameweek 28.

Portuguese midfielder Nani is another who is finding his way back to form for Sir Alex Ferguson. Nani has scored 2 goals, contributed with 2 assists and notched up 2 bonus points in his last 3 games and the winger collected 2 bonus points against Wigan earlier in the season.

Carlos Tevez
Argentine forward Carlos Tevez has scored 6 goals in his last 5 games including 6 bonus points. Tevez has form against this week’s opponents Fulham after scoring 2 goals, 1 assist and 3 bonus points in the reverse at Craven Cottage.

Spanish midfielder David Silva is another strong contender from the Manchester City contingent for captain choice this week. Silva has notched up a goal and 2 assists in his last 2 appearances.

Transfer Options

Aleksander Kolarov – 5.7m
The Serbian international left back has been played much higher up the pitch in recent weeks for Roberto Mancini. Kolarov has a thunderbolt of a left peg and is reminiscent somewhat of former Liverpool player John Arne Riise. Kolarov has picked up a goal, an assist and 2 bonus points in his last 3 games.

Marouane Fellaini – 6.2m
With Saha injured once again and with Beckford inexperienced at this level, goals for David Moyes’ side will again fall heavily on the shoulders of their midfielders; namely Tim Cahill and Marouane Fellaini. Fellaini is in good form scoring 1 goal, 2 assists and 5 bonus points in his last 4 matches. Everton play Sunderland at Goodison Park in gameweek 28.

Charlie Adam 6.0m
Again this week we are highlighting much coveted Scottish midfielder Charlie Adam. Virtually all of Blackpool’s set pieces goes through Adam and with Wolves next up,  Adam will surely be at the heart of anything good from Ian Holloway’s side.

  1. James says:

Charlie Adam has picked up a 2 game ban following his booking at Tottenham

You’re absolutely right James! I wrote the preview just before the Blackpool v Tottenham match. But Adam will miss the games against Wolves and Chelsea, which will be a big blow for Blackpool especially for the Wolves match. I hear Fabregas and Walcott picked up injuries tonight too, but that will not impact on this gameweek.
