Fantasy Football Premier League Tips – Gameweek 22
With Gameweek 22 quickly following 21, we can once again expect managers to freshen up their first XIs. We can only speculate to as how much but it always helps to have players on the bench ready to be automatically subbed in if needed. In addition the first rearranged game of many takes place in Gameweek 22 as Blackpool take on Liverpool. Taking this into account, here are the players you might want to take a look at:
Charlie Adam (5.4m) – Blackpool’s most impressive performer this season has been Adam and Holloway is definitely keen to hold onto him during this transfer window despite all the speculation. He has racked up a crazy 25 bonus points this season including 12 in his last 5 performances. With two home games against Birmingham and Liverpool, Adam is an attractive fantasy prospect.
Steven Gerrard (11.2m) – With Gerrard finally fit again, he will be the man to spur Liverpool on after the last gasp victory against Bolton. The result will give the squad more confidence and with Torres finding the net with a guided volley, this could be the time to invest in Liverpool players. With two away games at Blackburn and Blackpool, it will give them the chance to shake off their reputation of struggling away from Anfield and get their season back on track.
Didier Drogba (12.4m) – With fantasy owners consistently removing Drogba from their squads each gameweek, his price has been free falling. However those who have kept confidence with him have been rewarded with a healthy return, in his last 5 performances he has picked up 3 goals and 3 assists. Also, with Lampard back in the team Drogba should get even more reliable service. Chelsea have clearly had their troubles, but there is a good sense of solidarity and a strong backing for Ancelotti as he was mobbed following Terry’s late goal against Villa. This leads me to suggest that sooner rather than later it will all begin to click, making Drogba an expensive but attractive option.
